/*Comments Off */

"iphone-apps"Trying to lose weight is next to impossible on your own. However, these great iPhone apps will give you the boost you need to achieve your goals.

1. Thin-Cam

If you were to consult your nutritionist on weight watching guidelines, they would probably ask you to keep a food diary, recording what you eat and the amounts first. This is done to give them a basis of knowing what you need to change. The problem is that most people underestimate their proportions. This is where Thin-Cam comes in.

The creation of Thin Site, a dieting website with paid membership, this app allows you to take a photo of what you are about to eat, and just like that the photo is stored in your food journal and organized by day. Joining Thin Site at an additional cost can further have nutritionists monitoring your eating and they will give you an action plan of how to improve. Even without joining the site though, this app causes you to stop first and think while taking the photo before you take a bite. It costs $0.99 to install while joining Thin Site requires $29.95

2. Weight Watchers Mobile

This app helps you keep track of your Weight Watchers points. All you need to do is enter in the meal you are about to eat and the app automatically converts them into points. The app also has a great feature that allows you to pick your next recipe according to points. It has an activity tracker that makes sure you keep up with your exercises and can even help you locate the next meeting by zip code. You need to be a member of the Weight Watchers club to get the full version but previews are free.

This app requires you to input your current weight and height then your desired weight and the amount of time you are giving yourself to attain that weight then it comes up with a calorie ”budget” for you that will help you achieve your goal. It does not matter whether you intend to do it by doing more exercise or eating less, the calorie budget is there to be met. It has a useful friends feature that helps you support one another with other weight watchers. The app is free.

Another free app that might appear to you to work like any of the other countless apps that reveal the amount of calories in what you are eating. It has a special addition however. Calorie Counter has a vast nutritional database, extending from the food in your supermarket to that served in most restaurants thus you won’t ever have to input each ingredient before you know the number of calories in your sandwich again. It also has a food diary and an exercise log that can help you keep track of the calories consumed against those burned every day.
