You have to install two tools, one for each operating system. A free SyncMate app is available for Mac and an app for Android devices is available on Play Store for free. You can see three options:

- USB
It is recommended to choose Wi-Fi because whenever you wish to talk on the phone, you don’t lose the connection.
Can Connect with Multiple Devices too
It’s not just Android devices but SyncMate can also help you connect Mac with iOS devices too and also another Mac, Google account, a mounted device, iCloud, an MTP device and Dropbox. Select and you can enter the IP address shown on the Android phone.
Once your device is successfully connected, you can see tabs at the top, where SMS, Contacts and Calendar are present by default. For an Expert user, there are more options with which s/he can add more tabs, e.g. plugins like Folders, Calls, iPhoto, iTunes library and Safari Bookmarks.
The “Sync All” option under the menu syncs all data together between two devices and below that there is an option to turn the AutoSync on, which enables you not to have to manually sync the devices.
