IFA 2011(2 -7 September) in Berlin is a fabulous consumer electronic show in which leading laptop and notebook manufacturers such as Toshiba, Samsung , Lenovo, etc showcased different products that will start rolling out soon in the market. All products presented here are really stunning and have something special through which they can compete well with the available laptops of the markets. I know many of you have read the one-to-one news of this launch but for your convenience I put together all the news and developed a list of Laptops showcased at IFA 2011. So start reading………..

1.Toshiba Portege Z830 First Ultrabook Review

Toshiba Portege Z830 is the first Ultrabook from the house of Toshiba and what is good about this book is its striking resemblance with Apple’s MacBook Air. With the launch of this gadget company want to compete with Apple; I hope this laptop will boost such a great performance that company can reach to its target.

Portege Z830 Ultrabook is integrated with Intel’s Core processor range. Inside 0.63-inch chassis there is a Core i7 CPU and despite of this fact, the weight of this gadget is only 2.5 pounds. Though keyboard is little short when compared to other laptops but company used the spaced for adding an 8-cell 47Wh battery so this design is somewhat rational. Backlit keys are water resistant while a13.3-inch display is quite bright despite the usage of strong show lighting and compact backlighting.

Though its featured matched with Apple’s MacBook Air but you will notice some differences as  Z830 will come with an ethernet port, and both HDMI and VGA. For memory expansion it has an SD card slot whilst for high speed data transfer is made possible with the mean of three USB ports, two USB 2.0 and a USB 3.0. Toshiba didn’t make an announcement about the availability and pricing details of Portege Z830. But based on intel promise for ultrabook I can say that it will be  under the $1,000 mark.

2. Lenovo IdedPad U300 UltraBook Review

Lenovo IdeaPad U300 is one of the best devices that were showcased at IFA 2011. This ultrabook has won the heart of many when its aesthetically beautiful chassis presented by Lenovo. It is not only ultra-small but also ultra-powerful. The device from top , bottom and indide is made up from Aluminum, It is only 14.9 mm thin and its weight is around 1.3kg. There are a headphone jack, USB jack, full-sized HDMI port, and power port ( on right side) and one more USB port and a grille( on left side) . This grille is used for blowing out the hot air based for keeping laptop cool and this mechanism is based on Intel Advanced Cooling Technology.

Lenovo IdeaPad U300 Ultrabook is designed with a keyboard and touchpad setup. The size of this touchpad is larger than that of other touchpads that you seee in Lenovo U260 and other laptops. It is an easy to use and soft touchpad made from glass.

The display of this device is 13.3 inch and is very stylish and attractive. The battery life of the device is up to 8 hours (almost 50% more than previous Lenovo laptops). The battery featured with features Express Charge that allow you to battery up to 50% capacity in as little as 30 minutes.

Lenovo IdeaPad U300 Laptop is priced at $799 and it will start rolling out from beginning October 2011 at selected retailers and on www.lenovo.com.

3. Lenovo U300s UltraPortable Laptop Review

Lenovo U300s UltraPortable Laptop has also showcased at IFA 2011. It is spectacularly slim device as it is only 14.9mm thick. It is powered by 2nd generation Intel® CoreTM i7 processor with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology 2.0. This gadget is large enough to allow you to all your basic work quite easily and small enough to be carry anywhere anytime. It can boot from the sleep in just 10 seconds because of its processor.

Lenovo U300s Laptop is designed with a 13.3-inch display that boosts a 16:9 widescreen format HD. Efficient storage is made possible through 4GB DDR3 memory and up to 256GB of SSD. One of the attractive features of U300s is its one-of-a-kind Breathable Keyboard having Intel Advanced Cooling Technology.  It will be possible due to this technology that you can keep legs, pillow, or cat under your laptop.

4. Lenovo IdeaPad U400 Ultrabook Review

Lenovo IdeaPad U400 Ultrabook revealed at IFA 2011 along with U300 and U300s. The weight of this gadget is 4.4 pounds and it measures 0.88 in thickness. Just like U300 this laptop is equipped with  second generation Intel Core processors ,SD and hard disk drive options, and up to 8GB of RAM. It comes with an optional AMD Radeon HD5470M GPU (with 1GB of VRAM) and an integrated slotloading DVD-RW drive.

IdeaPad U400 laptop lets you to enjoy great sound experience through HDMI output and integrated stereo speakers with SRS Premium Surround Sound. You can connect U300, U300s and U400 with the HDTV through Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) Technology.

Lenovo IdeaPad U400 has the same Breathable Keyboard that you get in U300 and U300s laptops.It will come in a cool Graphite Gray color

Pricing and Availability of Lenovo IdeaPad U400 Laptop:

IdeaPad U400 will be priced at $849 and will start rolling out in the Markets from selected retailers and on www.lenovo.com beginning October 2011.

5. Samsung Series 7 Chronos Laptop Review

Samsung Series 7 Chronos Laptop is a follow-up of the most demanding Samsung Series 9 Notebook that was unveiled at CES2011.This latest laptop showed it goodies at IFA 2011 in Berlin. It gets power from an Intel Core i7 Quad Core processor and ExpressCache technology so you are able to awake this gadget from sleep within 2 seconds. Based on tests done with Internet Explorer, Samsung Claims that this new laptop will provide two times faster web browsing than previous generation.  You will notice an improvement in this laptop i.e. 33% increase in startup speed; it utilizes Quick boot for getting ready in 19 seconds.

Samsung Series 7 Chronos is equipped with a high quality 15-inch display that is using a so-called “Superior LCD” panel technology and has anti-reflective coating. Its display is offering HD+ (1600×900 pixel) resolution, 300nit brightness, 16 million colors

There are fabulous chic let keys on the keyboard but the labeling looks and webcam is somewhat resembles with a MacBook Pro. There are over-sized trackpad looks great.

Battery of Samsung 7 Chronos Laptop is definitely a plus point of it as it lasts up to 8 hours on a single charge. It is stated by the Samsung that with the mean of Battery Life Plus technology you can keep 80% of the cell’s original capacity in a normal life cycle lasting up to 15, 00 charging cycles.

Samsung 7 Series Choronos Laptop will be available from 2 October with the price tag pf $999.
